Dâmbovița Arena ar putea găzdui competiții de atletism în aer liber în 2027

Dâmbovița Arena in Târgoviște is set to host outdoor athletics competitions starting in 2027, as announced by the Romanian Athletics Federation. The stadium, with a capacity of 12,402 seats, is designed for multiple sports and events, representing an investment of over 270 million lei. The project includes a synthetic athletics track, training fields, and facilities for athletes and media. Construction began in November 2023 and is nearing completion. FRA officials discussed with local authorities about utilizing the new infrastructure for international-standard competitions. Târgoviște will have two modern stadiums with over 12,000 seats after the arena's inauguration, despite currently having only one football team.
