Dacia, în apărare? Armata Română vrea colaborare cu producătorul auto
A team from the Romanian Army's 485 Communications and IT Center showcased the Scorilo ground drone during the MOBEX Bucharest-Ilfov 2026 exercise. The project, which took two years to develop, aims for completion by December and is funded by €400,000 from the Ministry of National Defense. The UGV can perform various missions, including transport and reconnaissance, and features a remote-controlled turret. It has a range of 100 km, a maximum speed of 60 km/h, and can carry up to 500 kg. The project coordinator hopes to collaborate with local car manufacturer Dacia for future production. The drone incorporates advanced electronics and AI for sensor data integration, and the Romanian Army is interested in potential acquisition after official testing.
