WhatsApp is set to block access for users with outdated operating systems, requiring updates to continue using the service. A warning message will appear, instructing users to update their phone's software. This change affects both Android and iPhone users, with specific minimum system requirements. The new restriction is linked to security concerns, as outdated systems are more vulnerable to attacks. Users must upgrade to at least Android 6 or iOS 15.1 to avoid being locked out of the app.
