“Dacă distibuitorii de energie nu vor reuși să atragă investiții în rețele, vor fi blocaje majore” - Cristina Păun, ACUE. Care vor fi pierderile și riscurile anticipate - Economica.net

Romania faces significant energy sector challenges due to a massive investment deficit in distribution networks, with funding needs exceeding 11 billion euros compared to approved plans of 3.8 billion euros. The ACUE Federation calls for a regulatory framework that accommodates new investment needs and allows for flexible connections and binomial tariffs. The lack of private capital is a major issue, as current approved plans do not meet the calculated needs. The European Commission estimates that around 730 billion euros will be required for distribution networks by 2040. Non-wire solutions and the implementation of binomial tariffs could enhance network capacity and reduce investment needs significantly. Without adequate funding and regulatory adjustments, Romania risks major operational blockages in its energy system.
