Cutremur pe piața auto. Volkswagen a aprobat în unanimitate planul prin care va concedia încă 50.000 de oameni
Volkswagen has approved a significant restructuring plan to cut 100,000 jobs globally by 2030, responding to competitive pressures and production overcapacity. The "Future Plan 2030" aims to eliminate an additional 50,000 positions, primarily in Germany, affecting about 15% of its workforce. The company acknowledges the need for workforce adjustments due to changing market demands and technological shifts. While no factory closures have been decided, they remain a possibility. Volkswagen plans to halve its model range by 2035 and invest €135 billion in development. The governance structure will also be simplified to enhance decision-making efficiency.
