A minor earthquake occurred in the Arad region of Banat on October 7, measuring 2.8 in magnitude and at a depth of 5 kilometers. The quake struck at 03:59 local time, with its epicenter located about 15 kilometers southeast of Arad. It was also recorded 44 kilometers northeast of Timișoara and 94 kilometers south of Reșița. This seismic event is categorized as weak due to its low magnitude and shallow depth, distinguishing it from more frequent quakes in the Vrancea area. No reports of damage or effects in nearby towns were provided by the National Institute for Earth Physics.
