A 3.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in Suceava County on Friday morning, according to the National Institute for Earth Physics. The quake struck at a depth of 21.4 kilometers, located 34 km south of Suceava and affecting nearby cities. Since early September, Romania has experienced 12 earthquakes ranging from 2 to 4.1 in magnitude, with the strongest being a 4.5 magnitude quake in Vrancea on February 26.
