The General Court of the EU dismissed a lawsuit from Hungary's former government against the mechanism directing interest from frozen Russian assets to Ukraine. The court ruled it lacked jurisdiction as the matter falls under the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy. Hungary argued that its veto rights were ignored and that it was treated unfairly in the decision-making process. The EU has mobilized significant funds for Ukraine's military support, with the financial ceiling of the European Peace Facility increased recently. Following a change in government, Hungary has shifted its foreign policy stance towards Russia, expelling Russian diplomats for unacceptable activities.
