Curtea Penală Internațională, aflată sub sancțiunile lui Trump, a câștigat Premiul Saharov pentru libertatea de gândire

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has been awarded the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought, recognizing its efforts in upholding international law. This announcement was made by European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, amidst ongoing challenges faced by the court, particularly from the U.S. government under Donald Trump, who has imposed sanctions against it. The ICC, based in The Hague, prosecutes serious crimes such as war crimes and genocide. Metsola emphasized the importance of multilateralism and international institutions. The award ceremony is scheduled for December 16 in Strasbourg.
