Curtea de Apel Cluj a hotărât că Terapia S.A. poate comercializa în continuare suplimente cu albastru de metilen

The Cluj Court of Appeal suspended the INSP's decision to annul notification certificates for food supplements containing methylene blue, produced by Terapia S.A. This ruling prevents the blocking of over 60 million lei worth of stock in a market valued at over 200 million lei. The INSP's action was based on a European alert regarding methylene blue's authorization status, but the alert did not specifically mention Terapia S.A.'s products. Legal representatives argue that the annulment is bureaucratic and inconsistent, as methylene blue has been used for medicinal purposes for over a century. Despite the annulment, methylene blue remains available for purchase without prescription.
