Curtea de Apel a anulat condamnarea cu executare primită de un fost general STS, acuzat de trafic de influență și spălare de bani

The Bucharest Court of Appeal overturned the 3 years and 8 months prison sentence of retired General Florin Mihalache, previously convicted for influence peddling, money laundering, and forgery. The court found insufficient evidence to support the charges, leading to his acquittal. Mihalache was accused of soliciting €75,000 from a company administrator to leverage influence over another businessman involved in legal disputes. The prosecution alleged he created a fictitious loan contract to disguise the money's origin. The ruling is final and clears Mihalache of all charges.
