Curtea Constituţională din Peru a anulat condamnarea la 15 ani de închisoare pentru corupție a fostului preşedinte Ollanta Humala

The Constitutional Court of Peru annulled the 15-year corruption sentence of former president Ollanta Humala, ordering his release. Humala was previously convicted for money laundering linked to the Odebrecht scandal. His wife, Nadine Heredia, also received the same sentence but fled to Brazil. The court's decision declared the entire legal process against Humala null and void, which his lawyer welcomed. Humala served as president from 2011 to 2016 and was the second former leader convicted in the Odebrecht case, which has implicated numerous politicians across Latin America.
