On Thursday, the Romanian leu appreciated against the euro but depreciated against the US dollar. The euro was set at 5.2770 lei, down 0.18 bani, while the dollar rose to 4.6395 lei, up 1.30 bani. The leu also strengthened against the Swiss franc, which was valued at 5.6067 lei, down 1.38 bani. Additionally, the price of gold decreased to 634.6613 lei per gram.
