Cupa Campionatului Naţional de Şah pentru Nevăzători, câştigată de un buzoian, pentru al doilea an consecutiv

George Bratu won the National Chess Championship for the Visually Impaired for the second consecutive time, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the first competition in Romania. The event took place in Buzău, at the only fully accessible sports facility for people with disabilities in Romania. A total of 32 players participated, with Bratu scoring 6.5 points out of 9. The closing ceremony awarded prizes to the top three players and special diplomas for the youngest and oldest participants. Bratu emphasized the importance of training and the use of special chess boards for visually impaired players. He and other top players will represent Romania in upcoming international competitions.
