Cluj entrepreneur Florin Măriș has acquired two major industrial sites for urban redevelopment, aiming for mixed-use projects worth hundreds of millions of euros. The former Tehnofrig factory was bought for €35 million, with plans for a project named ERA, including residential and commercial spaces. The CUG site was purchased for over €20 million, also intended for a mixed-use development. This trend of redeveloping industrial sites is growing in Romania's major cities, with another significant project, Rivus, underway in Cluj.
