This consultation precedes an international competition organized by the City Hall to redesign the boulevard. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu envisions reducing traffic, increasing green spaces, and enhancing the area's appeal to attract investments. He compares the future boulevard to famous European avenues like Champs-Élysée. The project aims to shift the focus from transit to creating a vibrant destination for both locals and tourists. The earliest construction could begin in summer 2028, following the competition results.
