Cum s-au schimbat versurile melodiilor în aproape 80 de ani: analiza a peste 38.000 de cântece arată că artiștii vorbesc tot mai puțin despre emoții, familie și prieteni

A recent study from Michigan State University reveals that popular music lyrics have become less emotionally explicit over generations and individual careers. Analyzing 38,467 songs from 230 artists spanning nearly a century, researchers found a decline in emotional language and social relationship references. While earlier artists often expressed positive emotions, contemporary lyrics show a rise in anxiety-related language and a decrease in sadness references. Surprisingly, the study indicates that lyrics do not reflect the typical emotional regulation associated with aging. Researchers suggest that cultural and industry factors may influence these trends, prompting questions about broader changes in emotional expression and relationships in society.
