Cum ne influențează genele răspunsul la traume și riscul de PTSD
A recent study from King’s College London indicates that genetic factors may influence why some individuals develop PTSD after trauma while others remain resilient. The research highlights that childhood experiences, particularly emotional neglect, interact significantly with genetic risk factors, affecting PTSD symptoms. The study analyzed data from over 144,000 participants, revealing that childhood trauma has a stronger association with PTSD than adult trauma. Specific genes, such as FAM120A, were found to interact more with emotional neglect than other trauma types. Experts caution against overestimating genetic predictive power, as it only accounts for a small percentage of individual differences in PTSD symptoms.
