Cum motivează Tribunalul București plasarea lui Călin Georgescu în arest la domiciliu: „Circumstanțe personale favorabile”

The Bucharest Tribunal decided to place Călin Georgescu under house arrest instead of preventive detention, citing personal circumstances and the disproportionality of the preventive measure. Judge Vlad Andriescu noted that there is no risk of Georgescu fleeing the country, as he has previously complied with judicial summons. The time elapsed since the alleged offenses also contributed to the decision, as the danger to public order diminishes over time. Georgescu's favorable personal circumstances, including his age, lack of criminal record, and family situation, were considered. The DIICOT has contested this decision, and the case will be forwarded to the Bucharest Court of Appeal for a final ruling.
