Cum îți bei cafeaua sau ceaiul? Un detaliu aparent banal poate avea efecte neașteptate pentru sănătate • Newsweek România

A recent UK study indicates that drinking very hot beverages like tea and coffee may increase the risk of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. The research, involving nearly 980,000 adults, found that those who preferred their drinks very hot had a threefold higher risk of developing this type of cancer compared to those who consumed them warm. Additionally, drinking six or more hot beverages daily was linked to a 71% increased risk. However, no significant association was found with another type of esophageal cancer, adenocarcinoma. The study suggests that allowing drinks to cool slightly before consumption could help reduce cancer risk, although the overall risk remains low.
