Cum era la Șantierul Naval Tulcea în `70-`80? Spune Securitatea: Lipsă materiale și WC, alcool, dezorganizare • Newsweek România
The Tulcea Shipyard in the late 1970s and early 1980s faced significant challenges, contrary to the optimistic portrayal by propaganda. Reports from the Securitate highlighted severe material shortages, lack of sanitation facilities, and rampant alcohol consumption among workers. Despite plans for a fishing fleet, the shipyard struggled with disorganization and inefficiency. By 1978, essential tools and equipment were missing, and safety hazards, including inadequate electrical systems, were prevalent. Workers showed little commitment, often engaging in gambling and drinking during work hours. By 1979, the situation worsened, with students in training exposed to toxic gases and a lack of proper supervision. The local Securitate office escalated concerns to higher authorities, indicating a desperate need for intervention to address the ongoing issues.
