A bronze mechanism recovered from a shipwreck near Antikythera is considered one of the most remarkable archaeological finds. Dating back to 150-100 BC, it features over 30 bronze gears that replicate celestial movements. Its complexity was only fully understood in the late 20th century, revealing advanced ancient Greek technology. Despite debates about its accuracy, the Antikythera mechanism remains a significant artifact, housed in Athens' National Archaeological Museum, and has inspired functional replicas for educational purposes worldwide.
