Cum au capturat tătarii milioane de oameni între secolele XV și XVIII. „Cele mai tinere femei sunt păstrate pentru plăceri desfrânate”
Between the 15th and 18th centuries, the Crimean Tatars captured millions of Europeans for slavery, creating a vast human trafficking network. They targeted villages in present-day Poland, Ukraine, and Romania, leading to the forced march of captives to slave markets. The Tatar raids were systematic and brutal, with many victims perishing during the journey. The Crimean Khanate, emerging from the Golden Horde, became a significant power in the region, profiting from the slave trade, especially during conflicts with neighboring states. The scale of these raids, particularly in the 16th century, remains largely unrecognized in historical narratives.
