The National Bank of Romania has issued its first rectangular coin, part of the 'Romanian Painters' series, honoring Nicolae Tonitza. This silver coin, valued at 10 lei, features the artwork 'Yellow Flowers' on the obverse and Tonitza's portrait on the reverse. Limited to 500 pieces, it is sold for 1,150 lei and can be used as legal tender in Romania. The coins come with a presentation brochure and authenticity certificate.
