A collection of over 2,000 glass plate photographs showcasing Romania's transformation between 1920 and 1940 is now available online. The project "Memorii pe sticlă" allows public access to rare images, including notable figures and everyday life scenes. These photographs, preserved by the National Archives of Romania, highlight significant political events, official visits, and urban and rural life. Digitization is crucial for preserving these fragile images, which offer remarkable clarity but are vulnerable to degradation. The initiative is supported by ENISAL COMPUTERS SRL and co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration.
