The City Hall of Bucharest released images of a building in Rahova that was destroyed by a gas explosion in October 2025. Safety work has commenced, but workers can only secure up to the fifth floor due to structural damage above. A new technical solution is being developed for the upper floors to allow residents to safely retrieve essential belongings. Additionally, a crane and protective wall will be installed this week, with demolition of the building set to begin on October 5. This intervention is unprecedented in Romania.
