The A13 Sibiu–Făgăraș highway aims to alleviate traffic on DN1 and improve access to the Făgăraș Mountains. Construction is ongoing across all four sections, with significant progress reported. The project will connect Sibiu and Brașov, enhancing regional connectivity. The first section is at 17% completion, while the second and third sections are at 40% and 44%, respectively. The fourth section is at 27% completion, with a total project cost of 2.96 billion lei. The highway is expected to be completed by 2028, featuring six interchanges to facilitate access to tourist routes.
