Cum a încercat premierul Republicii Moldova să vândă țigări în Olanda când era „student amărât”

Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan recounted his experience of attempting to sell cigarettes in the Netherlands during his student years, which drew the attention of customs authorities. He shared this story during a speech celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Moldovan Customs Service. Tofan described his financial struggles as a student in Rotterdam, leading him to buy cigarettes and post an advertisement online. Shortly after, customs officials visited him, but after a brief conversation, they realized he was not a smuggler but a desperate student trying to earn some money. Tofan, who studied at Erasmus University and later at Harvard, became Prime Minister in July.
