In the last week of August, Romanian highway police issued over 16,000 fines for traffic violations, including speeding and not wearing seatbelts. Notably, a driver was caught reversing on the A1 highway and fined 4,325 lei, along with a 120-day suspension of driving rights. Another driver was recorded at 204 km/h on the A3, exceeding the speed limit of 130 km/h, and also faced a 120-day suspension. Additionally, a 30-year-old was caught driving at 173 km/h on the A7 while having a suspended license, leading to a criminal case being opened.
