Cum a fost posibil atacul de la Cadastru care a blocat piața imobiliară. 1.000 de servere virtuale șterse / Cifre alarmante despre breșele de securitate din instituțiile publice
A massive cyberattack on the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (ANCPI) on July 14 disrupted Romania's real estate market by blocking the e-Terra platform. The attack, executed by ByteToBreach, involved the deletion of around 1,000 virtual servers and exploited known security vulnerabilities, including weak passwords and outdated systems. The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) had previously warned the government about these vulnerabilities since 2021, but no official response was recorded. Following the attack, ANCPI aims to resume full operations next week, although significant services remain unavailable. Criticism has been directed at ANCPI for not using the national payment platform ghiseul.ro, which could have mitigated the attack's impact.
