The incident occurred outside a restaurant in Mayfair, where he was approached by three men who forcibly took the watch. Two suspects, Ali Eldahouzze and Abdel El Habchi, are on trial for the theft, while a third accomplice has pleaded guilty. The watch, believed to be part of a rare collection, was a gift to Botezatu about ten years ago and is now valued significantly higher.
