A 32-year-old Romanian driver was sentenced to six months in prison in Italy for avoiding highway toll payments. He also owes 920 euros in unpaid fees. The case arose from his failure to pay tolls over eight months, during which he used a BMW registered to his mother and evaded payments more than 20 times. Surveillance systems identified his vehicle, leading to legal action in 2023.
