In the penultimate stage of the 2026 Tour of Romania, Barnabás Vas won, becoming the new overall leader, while Cristian Răileanu secured second place. The stage featured challenging weather and terrain, with Răileanu and Vas breaking away from the pack. Despite Răileanu's efforts, Vas managed to pull ahead in the final kilometers, finishing 16 seconds ahead. The last stage is set to take place in Bucharest, covering 100 km.
