In Vaslui County, dirt roads turn into mud during rain, as shown in a video of a hearse struggling on a muddy path. Former mayor Ioan Buta built a villa but did not pave the road to the cemetery. Current mayor Eduard Cazacu explained that the road is gravel but has deteriorated due to heavy rain. He noted that most cemetery access roads are asphalted, and future sewer works will prevent repaving.
