Cu cât se vor scumpi facturile românilor la curentul electric: Estimarea venită de la vârful Ministerului Energiei
Cristian Bușoi, a state secretary in the Ministry of Energy, announced a projected increase of 20%-22% in electricity bills this winter and next spring, contingent on the reopening of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. He clarified that bills would not double for the same consumption levels, despite previous spikes due to high summer temperatures. The estimates are based on expert simulations, and while suppliers have their own data, the Ministry is monitoring the situation. Bușoi also noted that the EU is preparing for rising electricity prices, with the closure of Cernavodă's reactors extending unexpectedly due to low river flows.
