Cu cât dormitorul este mai întunecat, cu atât inima ar putea fi mai sănătoasă. Ce arată un nou studiu

A recent study indicates that exposure to light at night may negatively impact heart health. Researchers monitored over 11,000 individuals, finding structural and functional heart changes linked to nighttime light exposure. Participants were exposed to varying light levels for a week, and three years later, MRI scans revealed thickening of the left ventricle walls in those exposed to higher light levels. This thickening can reduce the ventricle's internal space and impair its relaxation ability, signaling potential heart function issues. While the study shows an association, it does not establish direct causation between nighttime light and cardiovascular diseases. Experts recommend minimizing light exposure in bedrooms to promote cardiovascular health.
