A recent study reveals that 60% of Romanians lack a financial plan for the next year, with 44% unable to save money monthly. Only 40% have a financial strategy, while 43% track their daily budget. In contrast, participants of the Banometru program show significantly better financial management, with 66% saving for long-term goals and 62% having leftover money at month-end. The program, which has reached around 350,000 participants since 2016, emphasizes the importance of practical actions for financial security. Participants report improved financial situations and have collectively repaid over 8 million lei in debts and savings. The study highlights the effectiveness of financial education in enhancing financial well-being.
