Csoma Botond: UDMR ar putea condiționa sprijinul pentru un viitor Guvern de respingerea legii privind drapelul
UDMR may link its support for a future government to the rejection of a controversial flag law proposed by AUR. Csoma Botond, UDMR's deputy leader, stated that this issue will be raised during negotiations for a new executive. He criticized the AUR initiative as absurd and reminiscent of totalitarian practices. Botond also dismissed the idea of a purely technocratic government, arguing it would struggle to secure parliamentary majorities. He suggested two viable government options: a coalition of PNL, UDMR, and USR with PSD support, or a minority PSD government. UDMR rules out supporting a government reliant on AUR or similar parties. While early elections are not off the table, Botond believes they won't address the underlying issues, as they may strengthen AUR and lead to further fragmentation among centrist parties.
