CSM a blocat sesizarea Inspecției Judiciare în cazul intervenției fără precedent a Parchetului General într-un dosar

The Prosecutors' Section of the Superior Council of Magistracy decided not to refer the case of the General Prosecutor's intervention to the Judicial Inspection, raising concerns about judicial independence. Prosecutor Claudiu Sandu criticized the decision, stating it sets a dangerous precedent allowing the General Prosecutor to intervene in any case. The vote was tight, with four against and three in favor of the referral. Sandu highlighted that the General Prosecutor acted outside legal provisions by requesting the transfer of a case, undermining the independence of prosecutors. The Supreme Court had previously approved the transfer of a corruption case from Craiova to Bucharest, which sparked the controversy.
