The Ministry of Development has achieved a 98% absorption rate of PNRR funds, with a goal of reaching 100% by the program's end. Minister Cseke Attila announced that 110 new nurseries have been built, creating over 6,600 places for children. This initiative addresses Romania's declining birth rate and will continue beyond PNRR funding. The government emphasizes the importance of local authorities in finalizing projects before the August 2026 deadline. Additionally, European funds are being used for thermal rehabilitation and seismic consolidation of public buildings.
