Criză Rusia. Banca centrală scade dobânda de politică monetară, în pofida inflaţiei - Economica.net

The Central Bank of Russia unexpectedly lowered its key interest rate to 14% despite rising inflation linked to drone attacks. Analysts anticipated the rate to remain at 14.25%. The bank revised its GDP growth forecast down to 0-1% for this year and increased inflation estimates for 2026 to 6-7%. The recent drone strikes have disrupted fuel supplies, causing long queues and higher prices at gas stations, while also impacting consumer behavior. In June, consumer prices rose by 0.9%, with annual inflation reaching 6%. Fuel prices have surged by up to 16% since the start of the year, and inflation expectations have risen to their highest since March 2022.
