Local courts recorded 1,995 corporate insolvency applications, a 2% decline compared to the same period in 2025. However, from January to May 2026, insolvencies rose by nearly 5% to 10,546. Creditor claims totaled approximately €15.4 billion, significantly lower than €25.7 billion in the same period of 2025. The transport, hospitality, and construction sectors were the most affected.
