Criză dramatică la Spitalul „Marie Curie”. Un copil a murit așteptând eliberarea unui pat la ATI
A tragic incident at the 'Marie Curie' Children's Emergency Hospital in Bucharest highlights severe issues in the Romanian healthcare system, as a baby died waiting for an ICU bed. The head of the ICU, Dr. Cătălin Cîrstoveanu, reported that the unit is operating at full capacity, with no available beds for urgent cases. Although there are closed beds due to a lack of nursing staff, the Ministry of Health is preparing to unblock 22 positions to address the crisis. However, union representatives argue that the staffing issue is widespread and requires urgent nationwide solutions, as over 25,000 positions need to be filled to prevent further tragedies.
