The National Confederation for Women's Entrepreneurship (CONAF) fully supports a package of 13 measures proposed by the ASTRA Transport and Logistics Employers' Association, highlighting the unprecedented financial pressure on Romanian transporters. Rising costs, including fuel and insurance, coupled with fixed contract rates, are straining many companies. CONAF's analysis shows that diesel prices have increased more rapidly in Romania than the European average, and many firms are unable to recover these costs due to long-term contracts. The closure of numerous companies is attributed to accumulated long-term costs. CONAF advocates for measures such as reduced excise duties on professional diesel and simplified administrative procedures to alleviate the burden on transporters.
