Criza din Ceuta zguduie UE - Italia suspendă Acordul Schengen cu Spania

The Italian government has temporarily suspended the Schengen Agreement with Spain due to a surge of migrants entering Ceuta. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced that border controls will be reinstated for maritime and air connections. This extraordinary measure aims to protect national security and will remain in effect as long as necessary, with attention to minimizing impact on summer tourism. Italy is also coordinating with France to strengthen border controls. Approximately 60,000 migrants have recently entered Ceuta, raising concerns about the unprecedented pressure on the local population.
