Criza din Ceuta: Spania susține că reuniunea miniștrilor de interne a fost „constructivă”

Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande Marlaska described the recent JAI meeting as constructive, acknowledging the effective response to the migration crisis in Ceuta. He noted that around 70,000 of the 72,000 migrants who entered Ceuta have already left. Marlaska emphasized that the Schengen area was not endangered, as Ceuta is not part of it. He mentioned that Spanish intelligence had no prior indications of a massive border crossing. Romanian Minister Cătălin Predoiu called for urgent EU support for Spain, while the crisis sparked renewed debates on migration policy within the EU, with Italy suspending the Schengen agreement with Spain, drawing criticism from Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
