Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez criticized the 'selfish' attitude of some EU countries regarding the migration crisis in Ceuta, urging an emergency meeting of Interior Ministers. He emphasized that such attitudes contradict European law and humanitarian principles. A group of 22 EU leaders, including Italy's Prime Minister and Germany's Chancellor, also called for a video conference to address the situation of illegal migrants entering Ceuta. They stressed the need for a coordinated European response to prevent illegal entries from being perceived as a pathway to legal residency.
