Although Europe is not currently facing supply shortages, the rising costs are pressuring countries to fill gas storage before winter. Currently, EU gas storage is about 70% full, which is lower than last year. The Commissioner emphasizes the need for governments to implement measures to support gas injection into storage and reduce demand for gas and electricity.
