Budget cuts are impacting vital programs, particularly in countries hosting large numbers of displaced individuals, such as Chad and Sudan. The agency has already reduced its staff by 33% and closed offices in 140 locations, while donor funding is increasingly restricted to specific projects, limiting UNHCR's flexibility to respond to urgent needs.
