Criza carburaților: Două țări europene dețin aproximativ 35% din rezervele strategice de motorină din UE

Germany and France hold about 35% of the EU's strategic diesel reserves amid rising fuel prices and U.S. pressure for emergency stock releases. EU countries had around 39 million tons of emergency diesel and gasoil stocks as of May 2025, with France and Germany holding 8.2 million and 5.6 million tons, respectively. U.S. officials are dissatisfied with these countries for not fully meeting commitments to release coordinated oil stocks agreed upon by the International Energy Agency earlier this year. Diesel prices have surged to record levels, impacting transportation and agriculture. Europe has become increasingly reliant on U.S. diesel imports due to reduced Russian supplies and declining refining capacity. The IEA agreed to a global release of approximately 400 million barrels from emergency stocks, with the EU contributing about 20%.
